Scales for the Mandocello

The Mandocello scale reference: choose a root and one of 24 types — common, pentatonic, blues, modal, bebop, symmetric, world — and see the pattern the way the CGDA courses actually carry it.

Pure fifths make scales symmetrical: the finger pattern that plays mandocello notes on one course pair plays them on every other pair, so one shape learned is twelve keys owned — the same geography a cello player bows, which is why fiddle tunes fall so naturally under these fingers.
